SAFE WOMEN'S PROJECT

Love, Hope and Restore

Safe Women’s Project is run by Women on the Frontline Ministries. Our aims are to serve, offer help, friendship, advice and practical support to women who are surviving domestic abuse, or who are seeking a way out of street prostitution or other forms of sex industry.

It is our aim to help women to see how valuable they are to God and to encourage them to live fulfilling lives that are filled with opportunity, whilst still maintaining their dignity and self-respect.

OUR AIMS

  • We help transform the lives of women to see how valuable they are and what hinders them from moving forward in life.
  • That women feel confident the project provides a safe secure environment for them to visit, be comfortable in engaging with service
    provision.
  • That women will feel empowered to exit sexual exploitation, recover from domestic abuse and abandonment experiences, to discover new skills and abilities and try new things, in order to engage back within the community
  • For women to gain a healthier well balanced lifestyle, emotional, spiritual and physically.
  • To raise awareness and promote understanding of issues involving sexual exploitation within the local community.
  • We build and maintain good partnership relationships with other organisations too! We’re happy to meet with your organisation or service for a coffee/tea and a chat – if this interests you, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Our website also contains a number of true Stories you can read as well.

How We Help

Safe Women’s Project is our initiative in which we provide one-to-one confidential, practical help and support, advocacy, exit strategies, referrals to support services, clothing donations, toiletries and other items.

We will always treat you with dignity & respect.

Below are our services:

With a team of volunteers from local churches, we provide a weekly night outreach on the streets in known areas of street prostitution in the boroughs of Newham and Redbridge, with provisions of gift bags, drinks, chocolates/snacks and information on local services.

Our outreach also aims to include visits to brothels, local refuges, hostels, hotels and home visits to women depending on location.

We provide a daytime women-only safe space offering tea/coffee/snacks and a friendly chat, with creative activities and workshop opportunities. A space to build trusting relationships where we will listen, support and provide a positive outlook of hope with spiritual supprt.

If you are seeking support, come and visit our Create Space group on Wednesdays, during the hours of 12:30pm – 2:30pm. Please contact us for further details.

We are able to provide confidential one-to-one keywork support, exploring exit strategies, and to assist with advocacy. We can help with obtaining NI numbers, registering with a GP, and liaison with other professionals and services. We are able to provide long term support on a case-by-case basis, as we journey alongside women.

Pray

Prayer is everything. It is the foundation that underpins all that we do as a Christian led charity. So, we really value your prayers for the following;
  • Issues of social justice and exploitation
  • For the lives of many vulnerable women
  • For our charitable purpose, our plans to grow and develop

“That we will love the Lord our God with all our heart will all our soul and with all our mind and to love our neighbour as ourselves.”

– Matthew 22:37-39
