What We do
Safe Women’s Project is our initiative in which we provide one to one confidential practical help and support, advocacy, exit strategies, referrals to support services, clothing donations, toiletries and other items. We will always treat you with dignity & respect.
Below are our services:
With a team of volunteers from local churches we provide a weekly outreach on the street-based in the evenings to known areas of street prostitution (in the boroughs of Redbridge and Newham) with provisions of gift bags, drinks, chocolates and information on local services.
Our outreach also includes outreach visits to brothels, local refuges, hostels and home visits to the women.
We provide a day-time drop in women only space as a safe space for the women to come for tea and friendly chat. A space to build trustful relationships to listen and support. With opportunities for workshops or activities.
Come along and visit our weekly Tuesday drop-in during the hours of 12:30pm – 2:30pm. Please contact us for further details.
We are able to provide confidential one to one bespoke case support, exit strategies assist with advocacy for women, help with obtaining NI numbers, registering with GP, liaison with other professionals. We are able to provide long term support and trust as we journey alongside the women which takes time to build.
